TRAINER CHARLIE FELLOWES APPOINTED NEW CHAIRMAN OF THE 32RED NEWMARKET OPEN WEEKEND

The 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend is delighted to welcome local trainer Charlie Fellowes as their newly elected Chairman.  Charlie takes over the role from Sara Cumani after a highly successful three -year term which included the launch and establishment of the popular NOW Food & Drink Festival.

Based at St Gatien Cottage Stables Charlie Fellowes is an avid supporter of the Open Weekend, opening his yard each year to the public, and taking part in the annual Stable Staff vs Trainers & Jockeys football match.

Sara Cumani, outgoing Chairman of the 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend, said; “Over the past seven years the Open Weekend has raised much needed funds for both local and racing charities, and I am thrilled to have been able to support that through my role as Chairman.  I think a young enthusiastic trainer such as Charlie is the perfect fit for the job and I wish him and the committee the best of luck in the future”.
