Tattersalls to open it’s doors for the 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend

Founded in 1766 by Richard Tattersall, Tattersalls is the oldest bloodstock auctioneers in the world and the largest in Europe.  Today, Tattersalls is an international firm offering more than 10,000 thoroughbred horses each year at its Newmarket headquarters in England, at Fairyhouse outside Dublin in Ireland, and at Ascot and Cheltenham.

The sales that Tattersalls holds each year at Newmarket include market leaders in every category. Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale is Europe’s premier yearling sale, unrivalled as a source of European Classic and Group winners. Seven Derby winners this century have come from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.

Tattersalls will be open to all NOW wristband holders during the Open weekend for visitors to have a look around it’s sale complex.  The highly popular industry leaders talk will also take place in the main sales ring at Tattersalls on Sunday, where the experts explain in what they look for when purchasing a racehorse.
